Vanessa Heeger
(b. 1994 Salvador, Bahia)

is a film editor, sound designer and filmmaker.

She graduated from Universidad del Cine (FUC) in Buenos Aires with a diploma in Film Direction and was awarded the Art School Alliance scholarship from the Hamburg University of Fine Arts (HFBK). Since 2019, she has been studying Editing and Sound at the German Film and Television Academy (DFFB) in Berlin, supported by a scholarship from the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.

Her work has been showcased at international festivals including Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique, Locarno, San Sebastián, and others. Notably, Erogenesis won the Prix Canal+ at Semaine de la Critique, and Slimane was awarded Best Short Film of 2023 by the German Film Critics Association.

She has also directed short films that premiered at the Mar del Plata International Film Festival and Oberhausen Kurzfilmtage, and have been exhibited in art spaces such as CCK (Centro Cultural Kirchner) and Centro Cultural Recoleta.
